11 years ago Sydney artist Randa Sayed began to write Experience & The Girl - a one-woman clownesque show about Islam, the Internet and sexuality. Since then, Randa and ‘the Girl’ have been on a national tour delighting audiences (with or without tongue, depending on how you’re feeling that night) with her colourful and cheeky show.
Fast forward to 2016, Randa has set out to write the next installment: Experience & The Woman, a story exploring transformation, time-travel and the deep love and connection between a mother and daughter. There are forces of nature at work that are bigger than the both of them. How do they continue to love and understand each other when their lives are pulling them miles apart?
In partnership with Marquez Laundry Theatre Co and Site + Sound Experience & The Woman is a one-night-only scratch* performance of Randa Sayed’s latest work.
*What is Scratch work? Scratch is about sharing an idea with the public at an early stage of its development. At the very heart of scratch work there must be risk and novelty. As creators we seek to prick your interest and ask, are you intrigued and if you want to see more?
